Here are some things I’d like to see in Season 4:
A retirement party. Sure, a retirement would mean the departure of one of our beloved characters. But that’s what happens in real life. I imagine the Dunder-Mifflin severance package is something like a Chili’s gift card and a tin of Altoids.
Other branches. I’m sure there are more offices than just Scranton and the old Stamford. I’d like to see a split-screen episode comparing a day in a “normal” branch with a day at the Scranton office. I think the “Product Recall” episode would have worked really well in this format.
Tour groups. Maybe a group of high schoolers interested in business could spend a day in the office. I’m sure Dwight would be all over that.
Family members. I’d like to see something done for Mother’s Day. Even if Michael’s mom couldn’t be there, I’d love to meet some of the other parents. What if Angela’s mom is a wild biker chick?

Heather, those are some great ideas! Especially the thoughts on Angela’s mother. It would be great if Angela’s mom (with a biker chick past) once knew Creed or something. Hehe.

“Angela…I AM your father.”
Seriously, though, we know from the summer vacation video that Creed found out he has kids and grandkids. Maybe a few of them will show up in some form?

Um, HOW HILARIOUSLY BIZARRE would that be?! Angela’s biker chick mother hooked up with Creed in the late 60s, and the product? Angela. Maybe Angela’s sister follows that wild and crazy lifestyle, and that’s why Angela won’t speak to her anymore!

Actually, I would like Season 4 to stick around the Scranton branch for most of the time. But a retirement party… for anyone but Stanley. Not just because he is one of my favorites, but it would drive him crazy. Creed could retire. And them come back as a temp.
We had “Bring your kid to work” day — how about “Bring your pet to work” day that just started up?
Or OSHA inspectors coming by the warehouse. Or, like they do here — recycling “police” to make sure the company recycles at least 50% of their waste.

Something with OSHA would be fantastic. We got a little of that with the safety training stuff. I’d love to see government workers interacting with Michael. Well, anyone from “the outside” interacting with Michael, really.
(Did I just compare the Office to some sort of unnatural lab environment? I think I did.)
