In the beginning, I didn’t care for Kevin. But the more the series went along, the more I appreciated him. Thanks for such a funny show. Talking about Kevin is as funny as watching him!

Aww, thanks Brian! We would go back to weekly podcasts if the three of us didn’t have such busy summers. We can barely find a time that works for all three of us to record our every-other-week episode as it is!

Love your podcast, and thanks for posting over the summer break. Keeps me going through the long drought!
A word on Kevin - one of my fave moments was when Michael was having a grief counseling session, and Pam, and then Ryan shared movie moments. You can see the light go on in Kevin’s head, and he shares a moment from Weekend at Bernies…at which point, Michael caught on. Classic!

I just read on another website that I have grown to dislike that Carrell has signed on for another 3 years. I guess that means we will have the Jim/Pam breakup next year, the conflict/fallout in season 6, and the series finale in season 7 where Jim rushes to the airport to tell Pam he loves her and to beg her not to take that job in Paris.
Do you guys see this show being good for that length of time?

Craig these writers are smarter than that! I guess I’m one of the few people who listen to this podcast that still has hope in these writers! I personally think in these next three seasons Jim and Pam will get their act together and at least be engaged by Christmas of season 5, married by season 6, and maybe a baby as series finale if we have to compare them to a friends couple which i don’t i’ll view them as Monica and Chandler! They were more fluffy!

Kelly that’s nice in the world of fan-fiction but this is a million-dollar comedy on a major network. I see NBC dragging out them for as long as humanly possible. The ridiculous non-proposal in the finale was just a sign of things to come.

Amy Ryan to Clock in at ‘The Office’
The Oscar nominee and former star of ”The Wire” is set to appear in at least five episodes of NBC’s sitcom next fall.
(FROM VARIETY) — Amy Ryan is slated to appear in at least five episodes of NBC’s acclaimed comedy The Office this fall, having appeared in the show’s recent fourth-season finale as a human resources manager and potential love interest for Michael Scott (Steve Carell). Ryan may be best known, however, for the work she’s done in grittier fare: She was a star of HBO’s urban crime saga The Wire, and she received a Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination for her portrayal of a mother whose child is kidnapped in 2007’s Gone Baby Gone. ”It’s a funny thing to enter a show that you’re a great fan of — and it’s nice to tell lighter stories,” Ryan said in Variety. ”I love the dark, grittier side of life, but it’s nice to take a break from that, put a skirt on and brush your hair.” The actress previously worked with Carell in last year’s romance Dan in Real Life.
