Re: no further mention of the Angela/Dwight “wedding.”
There was a line at the end of The Surplus where Angela mentions going out of the office “I have to take care of a legal issue…” (right after she kisses Andy). I always assumed that meant she had the marriage annulled.

My ‘jump the shark’ moment actually happened a while back when Mike drove his car…into a lake. That was the moment this show changed in my eyes.
I still find it funny occasionally. However, Krasinski really seems bored with Jim this year. I just feel like he has more or less mailed in his performances. This some season left though so it may change.
And I am always thankful of the writers and actors for giving me the best TV season of any show Ive ever watched. (I am sure you know which season I’m talking about.)
As always thanks for the podcast ladies and have a great 2009.

Stress Relief was one of the best episodes of all time. I had been wondering if the show had past its prime and lost its edge. This episode has restored my faith. The first 5 minutes had more laughs for me than the rest of the season combined. One of my favorite things about The Office in the past has always been the actions and reactions of the cast not directly involved in the scene. This episode had so much character action. People were in the office and everyone had something to contribute. Even if the role was just to be denied a chance to roast Michael. Ryan is still missing in action but I really don’t miss his character at this point. The cat through the ceiling tile was one of my favorite moments.
I loved that through it all Michael stayed true to his character as loyal to his staff no matter what. So what if Dwight started a fire and caused Stanley to have a heart attack. So what if he pulled out boot knife and disected a training dummy. The rules about concealed weapons in the workplace are awfully vague anyway. To Michael none of this mattered. He even took the fact that he caused the stress in the office in stride after getting over the initial shock. He was able to rationalize the whole situation into a world in which it wasn’t due to any falult of his own. In the end it is clear that even if Micheal does cause them stress. The office staff really does love him, even if it is like loving the uncle that always ruins family occasions.
Love the show, keep it up
