Just heard your podcast on "Two Weeks." I think you're making too much of Charles Miner "not knowing these people." It seems to me that he's behaved fairly realistically with regard to a new supervisor. First, he isn't supposed to be the regional manager in the first place, so it's not part of his brief to know all the branch personnel inside and out. Second, the tasks he has assigned -- putting Kevin on phones and Stanley on performance -- is actually not a bad management strategy for a new manager. He is giving new responsibilities to people. Very often, people step up and improve their performance under such circumstances. And if they don't perform, then he gets some insight about their limitations. Third, he's not exactly handing out rocket scientist/brain surgeon type assignments. If Kevin is too feckless to even answer phones properly, it's probably a good idea to find that out.

Hey guys! I'm in the middle of listening to "Shake it Off," and I really like it so far, especially the comment about the economy. But, just pointing out, they HAVE mentioned it before -it was in the Duel. When Michael went to New York to talk with David Wallace, he (David Wallace) mentioned that it wasn't time to ask questions in this economic climate: it was "Hail Mary" time. But this IS an issue I'm glad their incorporating, like you!

After just listening to your podcast and your confusion on why Pam left with Michael, I would like to comment on my views. I agree the Pam has taken a "mothering-type" role towards Michael over the years; however, I disagree with you that this relationship has only been one-way. I do think that Michael has been there for Pam and it made perfect sense to me that Pam would follow him. In Business School in season 3, when Pam has her art show, no one (with the exception of a snarky Oscar and Gil) shows up until the very end when Michael comes in and saves the day. When Michael purchases her picture of Dunder Mifflin, Pam is so moved that she cries and embraces Michael.

Michael's support is not as clear to a normal person as Pam's is because Michael is such a unique character. Nevertheless, Michael really does care for Pam and is there for her and I think that Pam understands that.

I really liked your analysis of what a manager should be...you should come to my office and share that :) As for Pam's motivation, I'd explain it thusly: she frickin' snapped! I really subscribe to the theory that Pam is weirdly kind of Michael's big sister and I think that she felt for him in his time of need(neediness?) as always, but obviously needed to get out of DM too. And as far as working with Michael goes, I can see her trying to sweet talk Michael into doing what she thinks is best for the MSPCo. She's been at that for quite a while anyway. I don't quite understand the saleswoman thing she's aiming for, but I hope she at least designs their new logo!

I watched Parks and Rec. The dialogue was spot on. Can we start a petition to get Greg Daniels and Mike Schur back to The Office to write? Pretty please?

Hey guys! What's going on? I know that you said you were going to be behind on shows but we can't even get a comment from you? What's up? I get the feeling that since the show isn't doing what you think it should you don't love it as much anymore and that's fine but just tell us. I wish you all would go back and just listen to yourselves from the first episodes and then listen to this season's... you guys are aren't happy. About Angela changing, even Christian's backslide. yes Ryan needs to do something new and i hated to see him come back but give the writers a few episodes to make things better. I hated the character of Charles and thought Jim was stupid for 6 episodes... I got my Jim and my show back with "Broke". Yes the continuity errors have pissed me off this season... i have friends that hug me and say "you know it isn't real, right?" and yes i want more Jim and Pam and less Angela and everybody and a little more Creed and a lot less Andy but it's still my show and my 6 year old still knows that "The Office" time is quiet time. (And he quotes show :):):)) And it's still the best most innovative comedy on the air...and 30 rock still isn't funny. Come on guys love the show again and come back me and my ipod miss you!

Sorry, Erica, (and everyone else!) about not having a podcast for the past couple of weeks! It has nothing to do with "The Office", but with our own schedules. There was Easter weekend, and then we all planned vacations at the same time that made it impossible to record a podcast for the past couple of weeks. But we're recording a new episode right now where we're talking about "Dream Team" and "Michael Scott Paper Company", and next week we'll cover "Heavy Competition" and "Broke".
